Description
Navy blue wool Officer's cap with a flat top and a peak at the front. There is a band of black canvas around the base of the cap. On the left side of the cap is a black button (the button on the opposite side is missing as is the strip of black leather between them). At the front, is an RAF badge on a background of black wool. The badge consists of a red and gold embroidered crown, a gold pin of a bird (albatross or eagle) and 4 gold branches embroidered in a swag formation. The hat is lined on the inside with a blue-purple cotton in check pattern with a diamond in the centre. Around the brim is a strip of brown leather.
