Description
Wool serge, blue/grey, field service cap or forage cap. Narrow cap which sits on the right side of the head. There is a side flap to the cap and this is held in place by a small, metal clasp. This flap can be let down to cover the ears. On the front of the cap, are 2 brass buttons which are positioned one above the other. On the left side of the cap is a small, gold crown. Below this, is a gold metal eagle in flight. These are probably made of brass. The cap is lined with a brown, cotton denim cloth. The small, rectangular, white label on the lining reads: J Collett Ltd. London 1944 Size 7 1/8.
