Description
Life jacket, yellow, made from treated cotton. The jacket is cut like a vest. Down the front of the vest, there are 3 buttons and 3 corresponding button holes. There are 2 brown canvas ties on either side. There is also a brown canvas handle on either side. Inside each jacket flap, is an inflatable, buoyant material. PETE is written on the right jacket flap. At the bottom, is a pocket that is secured with snaps. Inside, is a metal device for inflating the jacket. On the left jacket flap is a tube for inflating the jacket and there is a metal whistle with 'THE THUNDERER PATENT' stamped on it. There is also a side pocket that is secured with a single snap. At the back there is a zipper at the neck. There are 2 strips of canvas running horizontally at the back. On the left side, there is a canvas and cotton flap - perhaps used for storing. On the inside, there is an internal pocket on each of the jacket flaps. Along the bottom, there are 4 canvas ties and 2 canvas tabs with metal loops for fastening the straps. At the back, on the inside, there is a pocket with a metal zipper.
