Description
Black, bakelite telephone. The base of the phone has a silver, rotary dial at the front with the numbers 0-9 indicated in black. Below the dial, is a black drawer that pulls open. Inside the drawer, there is a metal base and a transparent plastic flap that flips up. The flap has 2 pieces of plastic that are joined with metal rivets to form an envelope. At the back of the phone, at the bottom, is an opening through which 2 wires come out. One of the wires is braided and the other has a canvas coating around it. At the top of the base, is a cradle for the receiver and 2 metal "buttons" which activate the phone. On the bottom of the base, is a grey plate with 8 screws in it. The receiver on the phone is made from black bakelite and there is an earpiece at the top and a mouthpiece at the bottom. The receiver is connected to the base of the phone with a braided wire.
