"In the belief that a record of work done by us during the War Years 1914-5-6-7-8 will prove of interest to our friends, and be of historical value, we have prepared this Album, of which we ask your acceptance... That the need of such another output as herein represented may never again arise, is the sincere wish of Ruston & Hornsby Ltd. Engineers. Lincoln." - preface.
