Description
Brown, leather suitcase with light brown stitching along the edges. Leather handle is attached with metal hardware. On either side of the handle are 2 clasps. To the outside of each clasp, is a square button that, when pushed to the outside, opens the clasp. There is a keyhole in each button.
On the top of the suitcase are embossed "G.A.F." On the outside of the lid on both sides is the maker's mark - a gold 5-pointed star saying: "The Modern Bag Co. Ltd."
6 stickers have been attached to the outside. On one side of the case are 3 stickers, 2 of which are only residue. The third is missing the edges, but part of a number is visible: "A?653 A/L 9653". A pencil mark on that label says "1 pm" or "1 per"?? 2 more stickers are attached to the side with the handle. One is blue and white and has a large letter "F" followed by "TEAL". The other is beige, white and blue with "TEAL", and the TEAL logo of a stylised flying fish (Maroro). Underneath it says: "Tasman Empire Airlines Limited".
