Description
Black and white matchbook. The cover features an image of a Maori weapon (wahaika), the TEAL logo (a stylised flying fish or Maroro) as well as "TEAL". Across the top is a black band with white writing that says: "New Zealand's / International / Airline". The top edge says: "TASMAN EMPIRE AIRWAYS LIMTIED". The bottom edge features the maker's name " BRYANT & MAY'S SAFETY MATCHES MADE IN ENGLAND". The back has black and white vertical stripes in the background and a white circle that says: "Marcovitch / Black / & White / cigarettes / available / on this / aircraft". The interior is undecorated, and the matches as well as the staple that would have held them in place, have been removed.
