Description
Bicycle - 'Swift' - with bicycle chain. Womens' three-speed bicycle with metal frame painted blue. Maker's plate "[S logo] / SWIFT CYCLE CO / BIRMINGHAM / ENGLAND". Chrome handlebars with grey rubber grips. Shift lever on right handlebar "GB PAT / 498830 / 649089 / 3 SPEED / STURMEY / ARCHER / ENGLAND". Bell on left handlebar "KING OF THE ROAD / LUCAS". Front and rear brakes with levers on handlebars. Painted in yellow on down tube "SWIFT" with an arrow symbol striking through the letters. Impression on axle "B / 73576". Brown leather seat, "LYCETT / MADE IN ENGLAND" maker's plate at rear of seat. Padlock attached to back of seat "YALE / JUNIOR" impressed. White mudguards. White chainguard. One red reflectors on rear mudguard. One red light attached to right seatstay and connected via wires to a headlamp painted white on the handlebars. Both lights are connected to a dynamo on the front wheel "DYNOHUB / WORLD PATENTS / MADE IN ENGLAND / DO NOT REMOVE WITHOUT KEEPER / 6 VOLT". Carrier over rear wheel. Front tyre "MADE BY REID NEW ZEALAND RUBBER MILLS LTD." Rear tyre "DUNLOP ROADSTER".
