Description
Microscope - antique signed Smith & Beck, 6 Coleman St., London. No.973 on the foot. The microscope has a thumb wheel controlled rack and pinion inter-ocular separation, Wenham prism on sliding shoe, rack and pinion main and nosepiece micrometer fine focus, a square mechanical stage with a rotating overstage and slide clamps, a mechanical sub-stage, a plano-concave mirror on an articulated arm, all mounted on twin pillars above a rotating plate on a "Y" foot. At the base, there is a reflecting swivel mirror wedged between a semi-circular clamp.
