Description
Water meter "Venturi" made by George Kent Limited, London. On the front panel is the meter and a clock with a hollow dial and Roman numerals on the perimeter set against a white background. One revolution of the pointer indicates a flow of 100,000 gallons. On one side is a heavy rotating brass cylinder whilst on the other is a light green and white, square-lined graph paper rolled over a metal drum. This graph paper indicates the rate of flow in gallons per hour. At the bottom of the graph paper, are the days of the week from Monday to Sunday. Below the graph drum is a steel cable coiled over a grooved steel drum with a guide pulley in the centre of a rod. The cable end is frayed and broken off.
