Description
Produced by Insight Films for Farming Press Videos. This video reveals how traction engines were developed, over 200 years, from the majestic Cornish beam engines of the early 1700s. It shows the world's largest working beam engine in action, and explains in detail how it works. The story then unfolds through archive pictures of the engines built by Richard Trevithick and James Watt, and the early attempts at mobilising agricultural engines, until it arrives at the traction engine we all recognise.
