Description
Clock from an aeroplane (possibly de Havilland as per attached tag). The clock has a black dial with Arabic numerals. The even numerals, i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 have been recoated with luminescent paint. The odd numerals are white. There are 2 red hands - the hour and minute hands. There is a third shorter hand in gold which appears to be fixed - has luminescent paint on it. The larger red hand can be rotated by a knob fixed on the centre of the glass crystal. The outer circumference of the bezel is knurled to grip and turn. The inner side of the bezel is toothed and matches up with a small gear at 6 o'clock. This mechanism, however, is not functioning. On the rear case are the letters "AM" (Air Ministry) and a small curved regulator. The clock is fixed on a square base with 3 holes to fix on the aeroplane dashboard.
