Description
Model of a 2-cylinder, compound (2 cylinders of different sizes), reversible marine steam engine with a 190 mm diameter flywheel. There is a red/black wheel with a small turning handle which can regulate the forward and reversible motion of the model. Steam enters from the inlet valve on the high pressure end of the engine and exits through the low pressure end. There is an exhaust outlet at the back to let out the spent steam. The large flywheel at one end of the model is connected by a rod to the connecting rods of the 2 pistons. This is a beautiful working model all painted in green and a bit of red. The whole unit sits on a large solid metal base making the entire model very heavy.
