Description
A black woollen epaulette. Front: button at pointed end - rope design around edge of button, design in middle features anchor with entwined rope and crown above that. Braid hand stitched into arrow design with an 'A' stitched in wire coil within the braid pattern. Only one row of braid thus indicating rank.
Back: Backing is black cotton with a form of coating over top hand stitched onto reverse. Hole in epaulette at pointed end in which button can sit. Metal loop attached to button to hold in place.
