Brief History
35mm slide projectors like this one became popular from the 1950s, used in homes for viewing slides of family events and holidays and in educational institutions in particular. 35mm slide film had been developed several decades earlier, in 1935, and became the standard for the projection of images. Slides and slide projectors were replaced by digital images and methods of projection in the 2000s, and Kodak discontinued the production of Kodachrome film in 2009.
