Flight Data Recorder System, model no. 5424-221. Orange coloured and silver striped metal oblong case with beacon and two carry handles at side. System manufactured by Fairchild Industrial Products, Los Angeles, California. Beacon produced by Dukane Corporation, Ultrasonics Division, St. Charles, Illinois. Stenciled sign on side stating FLIGHT RECORDER DO NOT OPEN and ENREGISTREUR DE VOL NE PAS. Silver coloured metal plaque on top stating ATTENTION ANYONE FINDING THIS UNIT PLEASE NOTIFY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT CIVIL AVIATION BRANCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Sticker with metallic finish on side stating model info, serial number, manufacturer and also 'P/N/ 13920-221', 50 watt capacity, small paper sticker on top concerning warranty seal.
