Description
"This bulletin describes the work of the two Antarctic expeditions that formed part of New Zealand's contribution to the International Geophysical Year. The scientific data have been sent to World Data Centres; ionospheric, geomagnetic, and seismological data will be published by the N.Z. Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in the observatory data series of the Geophysics Division; and research work arising out of the investigations will be published in the appropriate science journals. This account has been prepared to provide a unifying review of the activities of the expeditions and a summary of the results of the scientific investigations." - preface.
