Brief History
This Ironette is an example of an industrial iron manufactured for domestic use. Large clothes or sheets to be ironed are fed over the cloth-covered roller. The metal plate, which is heated electrically, is pressed against the fabric and then released. The fabric is then fed further through the roller, and the task is repeated.
