Description

Black and white original print. Image is of L E Birch, and group including Mr Blackwood; Mr Corney[?]; Mr Keith[?] at dawn at New Plymouth Airport. Image taken "after all-night sitting" monitoring the "Faith in Australia", Charles Ulm's aircraft that had just crossed the Tasman. L E Birch was a ham radio operator who communicated with the Trans-Tasman flight.
