Description
Motorman's tunic or jacket with a 'closed collar' style neckline. Auckland Transport Board (ATB) blue serge 1919-29 or earlier. Has leather-faced cuffs and pockets. The uniform has trousers (see 2010.483.2) which have a red pinstripe down the side. The uniform is made from winter weight fabric.

Hi there team, If fitted with ATB buttons, this mandarin collared uniform tunic would be post 1928 when the Auckland Transport Board was formed. They were used until approx 1948 when replaced with battle dress style open collar tunics, so most likely mid 1940s.
