Description
A cast iron meter with handle and square glass window. This meter was first installed in 1911 at the Fullers’ Continuous Picture Show, situated in Queen Street, Auckland. Later the meter was used at the Auckland Iron Works where it was finally withdrawn from service in working order on 28th November 1961. Over time, the iron works acid atmosphere completely eroded away the copper makers’ plate. 450 volt, 10 ampere meter. (Patents 1897-1907)
