Description
An electrical 'Polyphase' meter encased in glass on all sides and sits on a cast iron base. Mounted on wood. Rectangular meter. Reader face is a metal plaque with a pointed metal needle. Small cresent moon at needle base. "CAPACITY / 5500Volts. 80Amps. 50~ / 1 Main Div. of 10 Dial / = 10K. W. Hour" is printed on the reader face. A black maker's plate with "The British Westinghouse / Elec., & Mfg., Co., Ltd. / Manchester. England. / Westinghouse / Type "N" Polyphase Watt-hour Meter / 2 x 5500 Volts 80 Amps 50 ~ / 1 Unit = 3 Revs. of Disc. / Style / Serial B153699 / Series Trans., Ratio 80 to 5 Amps / Shunt Trans., Ration 5000 to 100 Volts" embossed and engraved on it.
