Description
A quilt in the Log Cabin design. Made from velvet, satin and other fabrics. There are sequins on the quilt and sections of embroidery. The Log Cabin design is a traditional block design which symbolises the hearth of the home. The design is made up of strips of fabric which surround a central square (the symbolic hearth), the square is flanked by dark fabrics on one side and light fabrics on the other side, thus forming a 'block'.
