This is a 15'7" four-wheeled ventilated box wagon. It is fitted with louvers. Currently painted in all white, with black text "XA [2]241 / 123".

Brief History
Wagon Xa 2241 is one of the 223 Xa 6 wagons built between 1934 and 1939. It is a 15' 7" 4-wheeled box wagon used for fruit and vegetable traffic. This class was once used extensively by New Zealand Railways, but no examples remain in service today.
