Description
Tram conductor's badge. Metal, marked "Inspector In Charge" in blue. The badge is gold-coloured with laurel leaves surrounding it and "ATB" (Auckland Transport Board) stylised in the centre. Double-pronged pin at back.

The Inspector in Charge was the person responsible for the ATB Inspectorate and the running of the Auckland Transport Board (ATB) 1928-1964 fleet operation of tram Motorman and Conductors (until 1956) and bus plus trolleybus Drivers.

Until the mid 1940s, the Inspector in Charge at the ATB was Gil Elliot.

Hi there, Not a Tram Conductors badge. The Inspector in Charge was in charge of the ATB Inspectorate and the running of the Auckland Transport Board (ATB) 1928-1964 fleet operation of tram Motorman and Conductors (until 1956) and bus plus trolleybus Drivers. Until the mid 1940s, it was Gil Elliot.
