Buttons, The Auckland Electric Tramway Company. 5 Large and 8 small brass buttons. Front has "AETCL" logo in centre with "THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC TRAMWAY COMPANY / LIMITED" marked around the buttons border. Reverse is marked with "ENGLISH MAKE / TRADE MARK / CROSSED / SWORDS" with small metal loop in centre of back.

Auckland Electric Tramway Company Limited buttons used from 1902 with the khaki and burgundy uniforms (there is a 1952 replica in the collection). These were superseded by standard British Electric Traction Company sparking wheel and bent rail design buttons by the 1910s.
