Description
Gulf blue Volkswagen Deluxe Saloon (Beetle) purchased by Ivan and Beth Hodge in England in 1961 and driven from London to NZ via India in 1961 and 1996 as documented in their book "For Love and a Beetle" (2nd Ed 2016). Four HP engine and car radio (not operative), spare tyre, repair tools and small number of spare parts. "AA" metal badge affixed to license plate, blue "New Zealand" sign placed on back window, white oval "NZ" sign with AA emblem placed on back window and a "New Zealand" kiwi pennant attached to rear-vision mirror.
