Description

Set of nine Iranian tasselled cotton cloths of various sizes, colour and motifs. Most cloths have maker and location stamped in black ink on back, most made in Isfahan Province in Iran. Purchased in the 1960s by Ivan and Beth Hodge as they travelled through Iran in their 1960 VW Beetle from London to New Zealand as documented in their book "For Love and a Beetle" (2016, 2nd ed.).
