This SKF carriage bogie was obtained by Jim Savage from the Otahuhu Railway Workshops in the early 1980s. Type "J", it confirms to blueprint 25140. It has 6 foot centres and is fitted with roller bearings. Used by New Zealand Railways. This type commonly used in Rotorua Express.
