Description

Surveyor's chain with 100 jointed steel rods and twenty-two brass marker tags at regular intervals, brass handles at each end. Used to survey land, and to measure and mark out property boundaries. One chain is equivalent to twenty-two yards (approximately twenty metres), each link measuring just over 200mm.
