Description
Black and white image on a glass slide of a group of people in vestibules holding a cross in the front porch of St Peters Church in Purangi. The te reo Māori name of the church is Tu-ki-te-Arero. St Peters Church was built in 1906, the basic design for the church is European. However the front porch is reminiscent of the front of a wharenui, with Māori carvings depicting Te Manihera on the right and Titokowaru on the left.
