Description
Thomas pulled the pages from his pilot's logs and has placed them into a metal-bound folder. Additional material such as photographs, correspondence and other records relating to Thomas' career have been inserted into the log. Additions to this log include Thomas' flight crew license issued by the Civil Aviation Division of the Ministry of Transport on the 15th of August 1951, images of aircraft flown by Thomas and airport runways (Rongotai, Paraparaumu, Auckland); examination results; captain's reports including one relating to a near miss between civil and military aircraft in 1957; internal NAC correspondence to Thomas including letters of appointments to new positions; family photographs; summaries of flying for license renewals; Jeppesen approach charts; flight training material for a Boeing 737 course including certificate of completion; Airbus flight test records for test of an A-300 at Wellington in 1974; instructional documents for Boeing 737s; pilot's wings; and records relating to Thomas' time working as a Simulator Instructor for Air New Zealand; a private flying license issued 6 June 1978; and records relating to the retirement of Thomas in 1983.
