Description
Hyundai Excel car key with IHC tag. The car key is silver with embossed text, "MADE IN / CANADA / ilco / HY2 X160" on the front and "FOR HYUNDAI" on the back. The key is attached to two silver key rings. On the larger key ring is a red and silver tag. On the front is the text, "FINDER PLEASE RETURN TO / THE N.Z. SOCIETY FOR THE / INTELLECTUALLY HANDICAPPED / P.O. BOX 4155 WELLINGTON / USE CALTEX PRODUCTS". "ML 8398" is engraved. Another, smaller, silver tag is also attached to the larger key ring. "X0659" is etched into the surface.
Brief History
This tag was a fundraising initiative for the Intellectually Handicapped Children's Society (IHC). The tag would be added to a vehicle's keychain - this one is paired with a key for a Hyundai Excel. Each tag had a unique number and, if the car keys were ever lost, the finder could post them to the address on the tag and IHC would find the owner.
