Magellan MAP 7000 GPS Handheld Unit.

Black and grey handheld GPS unit with glass screen at the top. Under the screen there are a series of buttons printed with white text reading “ON/OFF / MAP / LIGHT / DBASE / NAV / [symbol] / FPLAN / CALC / NEAR / [down arrow] / AUX / [right arrow] / 1 / 2 / ABC / 3 / DEF / 4 / GHI / 5 / JKL / 6 / MNO / 7 / PRS / 8 / TUV / 9 / WXY / CLEAR / 0 / QZ- / ENTER”. “MAGELLAN” is embossed onto the front face of the device between the upper buttons and the keypad.

At the back of the unit, a piece of Velcro has been adhered. Black text reading “Magellan GPS MAP 7000™ / Serial No. 4C 001908 / NORTH AMERICA / For use in the aircraft, remove the antenna and / attach vertically to windscreen. / Press ON/OFF. / Press [down arrow] and ENTER to initialise a rough / position within 300 miles of your present location. / Use the DBASE to find the coordinates of the closest airfield/navaid. / Press DBASE to select a destination / Press [symbol] to proceed / AUX 01 – Display Control / AUX 02 – Reverse Flight Plan / AUX 03 – Waypoint Projection / AUX 04 – SETUP / AUX 05 – Satellite Status / READ THE USER GUIDE TO ENSURE / PROPER AND SAFE USE OF THIS UNIT. / [right arrow] = toggle / ENTER = save/hold / [down arrow] = more info / CLEAR = delete/change / © 1993 MAGELLAN SYSTEMS CORP. / San Dimas, California, Made in the USA” as been printed onto labels adhered to the back of the device below the Velcro.

On the proper right-hand side, there is a connector port covered by a rubber flap attached to the device. On the proper left, there is a protruding metal port on a swivel “24931 / 28P401-1” is engraved. A black cord it attached to the port and connects to a rectangular plastic device with “[text covered] 7000” printed onto it in blue. The attachment has blue tac stuck to it. At one end, there is the remainder of a textile.
