Description
LOMAK Laptop Stand.

A metal bar runs along the base. Two metal bars protrude upwards from the one side, one has a black rubber ball on the end. Two bars curve upwards on the other side, with a rubber support on the bend. On each end of the base is a knob that can rotate, moving a small metal bar, with a rubber foot on each end. This forms the base of the stand when it is extended.
Brief History
Peter Haythornthwaite and Chris Mulcare became involved in the development of the LOMAK through AUT, and the pair designed this metal stand to hold the keyboard and a laptop. In Mike Watling’s development of the LOMAK he had made wooden stands to hold the prototype keyboards.
The LOMAK (Light Operated Mouse and Keyboard) is an assistive technology device developed in New Zealand for people with a physical disability who cannot use a standard computer keyboard or mouse.
