Brief History
The LOMAK (Light Operated Mouse and Keyboard) is an assistive technology device developed in New Zealand for people with a physical disability who cannot use a standard computer keyboard or mouse. This example has the front overlay separate rather than adhered. Alternative overlays were designed for the keyboard, including with a pound rather than dollar symbol, and the Notesai overlay, with more space between the characters, which was intended to make it easier for users with more limited head control to use the device.
