Brief History
The Canterbury Aero Club was established in 1928 to train pilots for recreational and sport flying. It is now based at Christchurch International Airport and is New Zealand's largest Aero Club. This is an example of a set of pilot’s wings. Pilots pin these badges to their uniform or flying clothing as insignia – a practice still common today.
