Air Ministry Chart Table Plotter.
Plotting arm manufactured in brass. Arm has a rotating 'head' fitted with a Perspex rule with increments dictated in black and red from 0-90 and 0-180. "NAUTICAL MILES SCALE 1:1,000,000 / BLACK-STATUTE MILES SCALE 1:1,000,000" / RED-STATUTE MILES SCALE 1:500,000" is printed onto the Perspex. There is a black disk attached between the base of the arm and the Perspex rule on a pivot which enables the arm to move. Around the edges of the disk, there are increments of 10 from 0-350 to indicate degrees. A red line with "N" printed above it sits below the 0. "CHART TABLE PLOTTER / MK IA / SERIAL NO. 5691/39 / REF NO. 6B/1414 / O. P. C. LTD. / A M" is inscribed on it. To the right of the disk, a black triangular plate with a white arrow on it is attached to the Perspex. The metal arm is fixed to a rod which protrudes from the disk and consists of two sets of two rods which run parallel to each other and connect with pivots which enable the arm to hinge and extend. At the end of the arm, there is a screw and clamp.
