8 Track Tape.

Part 1: Grey plastic 8-Track cassette with a purple sticker with an image of a woman on the front. "RAY CONNIFF / AND HIS ORCHESTRA AND CHORUS / MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS" is printed. On the back of the cassette "LEA 10065 / "re-released by popular demand" / MEMORIES / ARE MADE OF THIS / RAY CONNIFF and His / ORCHESTRA and CHORUS / PROGRAMES / 1 / MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS / MOMENTS TO REMEMBER AROUND / THE WORLD / 2 / TAMMY YOUNG LOVE UNCHAINED / MELODY / 3 / THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN / LOVE ME TENDER / ONLY YOU (And / You Alone) / 4 / MY FOOLISH HEART / LOVE LETTERS / IN THE SAND / NO OTHER LOVE / COLUMBIA LIMITED EDITION / 8-TRACK TAPE CARTRIDGE" is printed. "MADE IN U.S.A." is embossed in the top right corner at the back of the cassette. Part 2: Black and white cardboard sleeve for 8-Track cassette. The packaging has a cut out through its centre. On the front of the sleeve "COLUMBIA TC8 LIMITED EDITION / 8-TRACK TAPE CARTRIDGE" is printed. On each of the sides "COLUMBIA TC8 LIMITED EDITION" is printed. At the back of the sleeve, "IMPORTANT / For best results and highest fidelity: (1) Do not open plastic / cartridge or touch tape. [...] / "COLUMBIA" TC8 MARCAS REG. / COLUMBIA TC8 LIMITED EDITION / THE FINEST IN TAPE CARTRIDGES / Manufactured by Columbia Records/CBS, Inc./51 W. 52 Street, New York, N.Y." is printed.
Brief History
8-Track cassette tapes are a type of magnetic tape audio recording technology. Unlike standard tape cassettes which are a compact form of reel-to-reel technology, the 8-Track cassette consists of one continuous loop of tape. The tape is wound around a central spool exiting from the centre and winding on from the outside. This way the cassette can be played continuously without the need to flip or rewind the cassette. An 8-track cassette tape has eight parallel tracks, four stereo pairs, that can be switched between on the player.
