1962 Bubble car - Nobel 200. Fawn and white, fibreglass body. The ubiquitous Sachs 191 cc, 2-stroke engine was used driving the single or sometimes twin close-set rear wheel (s). It has a single transverse front leaf spring, coil rear suspension, and 8-inch wheels. There were 4 speeds with reverse and a dynastart. Top speed: 50-55 mph with 60 mpg.
Brief History
The Nobel 200 was based on the German Fuldamobil, a range of small cars manufactured during the 1950s and 1960s. Manufactured in England, this Nobel 200 has a four speed transmission with a 191 cc engine, eight-inch wheels and a top speed of 50-55 miles per hour (80-90kms).
The body is made from fibreglass, a process which was first applied to automobiles in 1949.
