Description
Hand-powered washing machine - Marvol Washer - with handle to cause rocking motion in "bowl", comprising wooden box body and four plank legs, with metal base. Metal washing mechanism, holding wooden washing agitators, fixed by four split pins to body. Original lettering on machine - Tympany MFC Co. Paper label (likely to be original) with instructions for use stuck on side. Decorative detailing in red and black paint on two exterior sides. One dowel in handle appears to have been replaced and part of the original dowel (?) is loose in the machine.
