Camera - Eastman Kodak magazine, patented May 5, 1885. Aperture adjustment - Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Patented Jan 6, 1891. Stained wood sighting attachment. This camera took 4 x 5 inch pictures on celluloid roll film. It came loaded with enough film to take 60 exposures.
Brief History
The No 4 Improved Folding Kodak was made by Eastman Kodak between 1890 and 1897 and took either roll film or glass plates. 257,000 were made.
These Folding Kodak models were made in three distinct sizes: the No 4 for 4 x 5 inch photographs, the No 5 for 5 x 7 inch photographs, and finally the No 6 for 6½ x 8½ inch photographs.
