Description
Small sized New Zealand flag (blue, red and white - union jack and four stars) attached with a brown braided cord and two lengths of white satin ribbon. Note that was mounted with the flag in a display cases reads, ' This flag was presented to Union Airways Ltd. on 26 June 1937 on the occasions of the inauguration of their Auckland - Wellington Air Service with Lockheed 10A Aircraft. ZK-AFD was one of the three aircraft of this original fleet and the flag was flown by the aircraft prior to take-off and after landing. Presented by Mrs. P. J. Macavoy.'
