General View of Pump House Boiler Room. This room has been cleaned out & converted into a display Area of Predominantly Aviation Material.
Seen in the View are early Stationery Engines, Horse Drawn Fire Ladder, Sailplane, & Dominating the centre of the Room, The Pearce Plane. (the Machine Built by the Temuka Pioneer Richard Pearce.) Under the wing of the Pearce Plane can be seen the early Rolls-Royce 'Derwent' Jet Engine. This is but one of a number of engines representing all Phases of aviation power Units in the Museum Possession. (sic) Label
