Description
The black and white drawing is of a barren forest and a stormy sky. The drawing is trimmed in gold. Above the drawing, stamped in gold "Lest We Forget" and a gold warrior with the caption KIA MATE TOA. Three gold crests flank the other three sides of the drawing. Underneath the drawing, stamped in gold, is the verse: "Lull'd in the countless chambers of the brain, Our thoughts are linked by many a hidden chain, Awake but one, and lo, what myriads rise! Each stamps its image as the other flies." The verse is attributed to Pope. The poem and drawing are in a green folder of heavy paper. (Found inside 2003.588).
