Description
Blue wool worsted air force No.1 tunic, long-sleeved, short lapel, belted waist, skirt bottom with a single vent in the back. Left and right breast patch pockets with scalloped flaps. Left and right, large hip pockets with rectangular flaps. There is a change pocket located between the right breast pocket and the right hip pocket. The breast patch pockets have a pleat in the centre. Each pocket has a brass button. There are 4 brass buttons down the front facing. The brass buttons have embossed on them a winged eagle and a crown - no 'NZ'. There is an internal breast pocket on the right hand side. The garment is fully lined with a purple cotton/satin fabric. The inside front facings are lined with the exterior wool worsted for a generous 155 mm. The sleeves are silk or fine cotton lined. The colour of the sleeve lining is white. The left breast badge is a Bomb Aimer. The medal bar below the brevet reads from left to right, 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, NZ
