Description
Tunic - khaki, short, wide lapels. Made of cotton denim without any lining. The tunic has 4 patch pockets - left and right breast pockets as well as left and right waist pockets. The breast pockets have scalloped flaps which are held at the corners by dome fasteners. The waist pockets are large, square pockets with rectangular flaps. There is a change pocket right centre. Above the left breast pocket, is an observer badge. The tunic has long sleeves with a crown pattern on the cuff of the sleeve. There are loops on each shoulder to accommodate epaulettes. There is provision for 4 clip-on brass buttons down the front opening. There is also provision for a single, brass button on each patch pocket. The tunic is waisted with a skirt bottom. In the left waist pocket is a folded waist belt, also made of khaki denim cotton. There are no brass buttons on the tunic. The label in the collar reads: GAILBRAITH. This is the name of the airman who donated the artefacts.
