Description
Dress service cap, officer's cap, blue wool cloth, flat top, round shape with a peak. The plastic around the brim is a black, woven band. Around this band and over the peak is a black, patent leather strap which is buttoned to the brim band on each side. A brown leather band runs around the inside of the brim. The hat is lined with a fawn/brown satin-like material. The head lining over the satin is a green felt. The leather headband is stamped with gold leaf and reads: Bates Hatter, 21 Jermyn Street, St James's London. On the front of the cap, above the patent leather strap, is a badge made up of crown at the top, a golden eagle in the middle and laurel leaves at the base.
