Description
Helmet - brown, soft leather with a chin strap. The helmet design is square at the back of the neck and framing the face. There are 2 silver metal studs on either side of the face opening. The leather cover ear surrounds have a brass zipper running vertically down each ear. The earphones fit into these cavities. On the back of the helmet, there is a short leather strap with a buckle. The inside of the helmet is lined with yellow suede. The ears have round doughnut-shaped padding with a hole in the middle for the sounds of the microphones and earphones to be heard. There is a white fabric label sewn into the head lining. This label reads: R.N.Z.A.F. SIZE 6½ 6¾ Issue 1940/1.
