Brief History
Home movies, short amateur films of family events or holidays for example, were used as a form of family entertainment and were popular before the introduction of TV to homes. The 16 mm film this projector takes was developed by Eastman Kodak in 1923.

Projectors such as this hand cranked model are just about as simple as film projection can be, with the film moved through the projector by winding the red knob on the side.
